Wanda Domagalski Yorkville Wanda A. Domagalski, 88, a lifelong area resident died on Sunday, November 23, 2008 after a brief illness. She was born in Utica on March 8, 1920 the daughter of Peter and Margaret Lastowski and attended local schools. On December 17, 1944 she was married to Theodore Domagalski; a loving union shared for 64 years. Prior to her retirement, Wanda was employed for many years with General Electric Co. and the Conmed Corp. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus - Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church, New York Mills, the Women's Society of the Church and the Yorkville and New York Mills Seniors. Her survivors include her husband Theodore Domagalski of Yorkville; two daughters and their husbands, Joan and John Zych of Collinsville, IL and Jane and Timothy Herlehy of Mohawk; 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly Herlehy of Mohawk, Tanya and Paul Hendrickson of IL, Tamara and Brett Palmier of IL and T.J. and Sarah Zych of MO. Also included are her 4 great grandchildren Savannah, Ethan, Iris and Audrey, a sister-in-law Mary Domagalski of Yorkville and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her 3 sisters, Frances Rebisz, Irene Lepcio and Helen LaSota and a brother Joseph Lastowski. In keeping with Wanda's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at the Sacred Heart of Jesus - Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the Mass. For those wishing to do so, memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus - Holy Cross Church, 206 Main Street New York Mills, NY 13417. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery, New Hartford. The family of Wanda would like to express their sincere appreciation to Joanna and Barbara Rudwall, Peter Rebisz, Deb Paige, Veronica Mutolo and the many dear friends and neighbors who assisted them during this difficult time, and also to the nurses and staff of the Allen Calder S.N.F. 3 West for the excellent care and kindness she received throughout her stay.
