Steven F. Warmuth

February 23, 1962 - February 25, 2022

NEW YORK MILLS - Steven Warmuth drove his cart to a peaceful green on February 25, 2022. Steve was born to Mary Ann (Yacobelli) and the late Francis Warmuth on February 23, 1962. He graduated in 1980 from New Hartford High School and also the MVCC Hospitality and Restaurant Management Program. Steve had a varied career in restaurant management, beverage sales (most notably Tri-Valley), and finally Fortus Healthcare Resources. He was passionate about rescue pets, the New York Yankees, the Buffalo Bills, the Boston Celtics, and a voracious reader of history, science fiction, and satire. Golf became his preferred pastime; his membership at Sauquoit Knolls Golf Club and his October 2021 benefit there were some of the happiest times of his life. Family and friends defined him. Steve is forever remembered by his mother, his sisters, Susan (Richard) Cornnell, Nancy (Robert Sterling), and Anne; nieces and nephews, Victoria, Roberta, and Nathan Warmuth, and Andrew and Christine Cornnell, and his cherished dogs, Jack and Makenna. His friends are family, especially Francis Coluzza, Kirk McIntyre, and Steve Mizerak. Steve’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 1-3 pm at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Road, Utica, NY 13502; a short service led by Sister Maureen Denn will follow. As a tribute, we’d like to invite guests to wear Yankees & Bills attire. Steve requested no flowers but instead donations to the American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org), Anita’s Stevens-Swan Humane Society (https://www.anitas-sshs.org), or the Alzheimer’s Association (https://www.alz.org). His family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sultana Razia for 20 years of dedicated and compassionate care and the staff at Faxton St. Luke’s Hospital for their kindness.
