Mark R. Kaleta

Mark R. Kaleta, 35, passed away on March 15, 2022, in San Francisco, California. Born on September 30, 1986, Mark was the son of Richard and Irena (Olszewska) Kaleta. He attended Holy Trinity Elementary School and graduated from New Hartford High School. In his younger years he loved playing baseball on Utica Little League. Mark was a loving son and brother. His free spirit and passion for travel took him on many adventures. He confidently marched to the beat of his own drum. Mark’s easy-going demeanor, kind soul, and sweet personality made him quite the charmer. Those who were lucky enough to know him will never forget him. He fostered an appreciation for nature and had a special place in his heart for all animals, especially dogs. Rockie, Blu and Cookie will certainly miss him. Besides his parents, Mark leaves behind a sister, Kasia Kaleta and her fiancé Milien Noel, and their children, Myah and Ayanah Noel; his family in Poland; grandmother, Stefania Olszewska; aunt, Maria Bala; cousin, Marcelina (Karol) Dysziewicz; local uncles, John and Richard Olszewski, Les and Donna Kaleta and their sons, Adam and Joe; Jan and Karen Kaleta and their children, Michelle, Danielle and Shaun; aunt, Romana Papaleo and her children, Aubree and John. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Janina Kaleta-Skora and cousin, Andrew Kaleta. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 9-10 AM at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will commence immediately following visitation, at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Helio Health (www.helio.health/fundraising/donate-now/).
