UTICA – Loretta Lambert Hovanec, passed away on February 6, 2021 after a brief illness. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Hovanec; children, John Smigle and Lisa Smigle; grandchildren, Christopher, Aiden and Leland; sister, Claudine Blinkey and her cousin, Kerry Mesick. She is also survived by many other loving relatives, lifetime friends from all around the world, too many to name, and her cat, Clarissa. Loretta was an outstanding woman who had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed. There will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stevens-Swan Humane Society (www.stevens-swan.org/donate), 5664 Horatio Street, Utica, NY 13502. Her family would like to thank everybody for their prayers, support and love.
