Carolyn I. Guidera

Carolyn I. Guidera, 81, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born on January 6, 1941, in Clinton, SC, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Jesse and Esther I. (Black) Crane. She was a graduate of UFA. Carolyn was a nurse’s aide for 34 years until her retirement from St. Luke’s Hospital. She is survived by her children, Robin Lombardo, Barbara Labosette, Denise (Robert) Mariano, and Roger Labosette, Jr.; sisters, Merlyn Crigger, and Diane (Philip) DeGouff. Carolyn also leaves thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Tom Guidera, daughter, Linda Kupiec, sister, Shirley Dunn, grandson, David Julian, infant brother, Rondall, and infant great-granddaughter, Gabriella Hopkinson. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will commence at 12 p.m. following visitation. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. Carolyn resided with and was cared for by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Robert Mariano for many wonderful years. Denise and Carolyn’s family do not have the words to describe the feelings of gratitude they have regarding the care that she received from the doctors and staff of MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The caregivers of Clark North Unit made Carolyn feel as though she were at home and treated her as if she were their own mother. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Carolyn’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
